Campus Hiring Planner
Build a campus funnel backwards from joiners rather than forwards from offers, so the renege gap between offer and joining date is in the plan from the start rather than discovered in June.

The months between offer and joining are where campus hiring is won or lost. Every point of renege costs a whole recruiting funnel above it.
The joining ratio is the hardest number to move and the most valuable. Offers made in one semester for a start date two semesters later lose candidates steadily, and engagement during that gap is the only lever that works.
Build a buffer into the target rather than into the offer count alone. A shortfall discovered in June cannot be fixed by a campus visit in July.
Campus hiring fails in the gap between offer and joining, which in India is routinely six to nine months. Plan forwards from offers and the shortfall appears too late to fix; plan backwards from joiners and the buffer is built in.
Every conversion rate here is one you should measure from your own last cycle rather than accept from a benchmark.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a normal renege rate in campus hiring?
- Twenty to forty per cent is common in Indian campus hiring, driven by the long gap between offer and joining. It is the single largest source of error in campus plans.
- How do I reduce campus offer reneges?
- Engagement during the gap is the only lever that consistently works — projects, mentor contact, early onboarding, a definite joining date. Nothing else closes a six-to-nine-month silence.
- How many campuses do I need to visit?
- Work backwards from joiners through each conversion rate to the number of candidates you need to test, then divide by how many you can realistically reach per campus. This tool does it directly.
